We’ve got an awesome new trailer for you to check out for a documentary titled Stuntwomen that is narrated by Michelle Rodriguez, who is no stranger to action flicks, having starred in the Fast & Furious movies, Resident Evil, S.W.A.T., Avatar, Machete, Widows, and many more. The doc takes a look at the history of female stuntwomen, who have been working hard in the industry since films began.

Here’s the full synopsis:

STUNTWOMEN: THE UNTOLD HOLLYWOOD STORY is the inspiring untold story about the unsung professionals, their struggles on screen to perform at the highest level, and their fight off-screen to be treated fairly and equally. The movie takes us behind-the-scenes and introduces us to the female stunt performers who drive the action and thrills of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster movies from the silent age of cinema to present day.

Check out the trailer:

The documentary talks to the biggest names in the business, including Julie Ann Johnson (Charlie’s Angels), Jadie David (Escape from L.A.); Jeannie Epper (Wonder Woman), Debbie Evans (The Fast and the Furious), Deven McNair (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Donna Evans (Total Recall), Donna Keegan (True Lies), Amy Johnston (Suicide Squad), Alyma Dorsey (Captain Marvel), Heidi Moneymaker (Captain America: Civil War), Keisha Tucker (Black Panther), Jessie Graff (Wonder Woman), Angela Meryl (Skyfall), Cheryl Lewis (Luke Cage), Jennifer Caputo (The Amazing Spider-Man), and Kelly Roisin (Venom).

It’s so amazing to see these scenes within the context of knowing it was real-life women who fearlessly pulled them off. It’s also crazy to hear about the injuries they’ve sustained over the course of their careers. I am super excited to watch this documentary. It will be amazing to hear the behind-the-scenes stories of the women who’ve made these great action scenes possible with their bravery and athleticism.

Stuntwomen will be available on digital on September 22, 2020. Will you be checking it out?
