We have heard a lot of rumors as well as verified information in the past week or so in regards to the next Ant-Man sequel. It was reported that Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp will be back in top billing with Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, director Peyton Reed confirmed a “much bigger” and “more sprawling” film, then it was reported that Lovecraft County actor Jonathan Majors has joined the cast of Ant-Man 3 in an undisclosed role that fans are speculating will be the villain Kang the Conqueror.
This is a whole lot of new info that pushes the film forward in exciting ways, and now we have a very small tease from the film’s concept artist, Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Andy Park, who took part in a Q&A with fans, and was asked whether the heroes will be getting new costumes in the film. He responded:
“I can’t talk spoilery things, but most movies have new costumes.”
I know, not a lot to go on, but it sounds like confirmation to me, as much as he is allowed. But it all makes sense, as we also heard this week that the film is shooting on the same lots used for Bond and Star Wars.
Entertainment reporter Christopher M also teased the sequel will be much larger in scale with “massive action sequences.” Sounds like a whole lot of awesomeness to me!
#AntMan3 is well into pre-production and “big” is going to be an understatement… there is a reason this movie is moving to the stages home to BOND and STAR WARS.
Expect some massive action sequences.
Can confirm it’s aiming for a 2022 release, we’ll see if that sticks. pic.twitter.com/u24Bu7GzGo
