Want to see a trailer for a crazy-looking new vampire horror film? Then check out the red-band trailer for the movie, Thirst, below. I can’t stress to you enough how NSFW this red-band trailer is. There’s a ton of blood and gruesome violence. This movie definitely isn’t for everyone.
The Icelandic thriller comes from the director’s Gaukur Úlfarsson and Steinþór Hróar Steinþórsson, and the story is set in a small town filled with evil where strange crimes and brutality frequently occur.
Thirst follows Hulda, “a woman who is suspected of being responsible for the death of her brother and is being investigated by the police. After being released from custody due to insufficient evidence, she has nowhere to turn to. Lingering around in the cold, she befriends an elderly man who turns out to be a 1,000-year old, single and gay vampire who brings her brother to life, leading to terrible consequences.”
The movie stars Hjörtur Sævar Steinason, Ingvar E. Sigurdsson (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Halldóra Geirharðsdóttir and Ólafía Hrönn Jónsdóttir (“Black Mirror”).
Thirst premieres on DVD and Digital on December 1st in North America.
