The first trailer has been released for the upcoming supernatural horror thriller Death of Me, which comes from director Darren Lynn Bousman, who has directed a bunch of the Saw films. The movie stars Maggie Q and Luke Hemsworth and the twisted story entails mystery, black magic, and murder.

Death of Me follows a couple who are vacationing on an island off the coast of Thailand. “Christine (Maggie Q) and Neil Oliver (Luke Hemsworth) awake hungover, with no memory of the previous night. They find footage on Neil’s camera, and watch, horrified, as Neil appears to murder Christine. With 24 hours until the next ferry and with a typhoon threatening the island, Christine and Neil attempt to reconstruct the previous night’s events—and are snared in a web of mystery, black magic, and murder.”

This is actually a cool concept for a horror movie, and I’m intrigued by the story and what I’m seeing in this trailer! The rest of the small cast includes Alex EssoeKat Ingkarat, and Kelly B. Jones.

I’ve enjoyed many of the films that Darren Lynn Bousman has made, which includes Identity LostSaw IISaw IIISaw IVRepo! The Genetic OperaMother’s Day11-11-11The Devil’s CarnivalThe BarrensAbattoirSt. Agatha, as well as the upcoming Spiral: From the Book of Saw.

Saban Films will release Death of Me in select US theaters + on VOD starting October 2nd. I’ll definitely be checking it out! Will you?

Helheim Hassle Review

Helheim Hassle feels like a descendant of Blizzard’s 1992 puzzle-platforming classic, The Lost Vikings, but instead of there being multiple vikings with unique skills to switch between, there’s just one viking who can separate into multiple manouvrable body parts in order to overcome each environmental obstacle. With a neatly evolving […]
