Kristen Bell is set to star in a new limited series being produced by Netflix titled The Woman in the House.
Bell will take on the role of a heartbroken protagonist named Anna. “For her, every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor moves in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder… Or did she?”
Sounds like this will be a new updated take on Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. So, while the concept behind the eight-episode series isn’t really an original one, I like Bell, and I’ll be tuning in to watch in hopes that it’s good.
Bell is also set to produce the project along with Will Ferrell, who is an executive producer. Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf created the series and will serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. The creative trio previously co-created and starred in the TV Land series Nobodies, which Bell appeared in. They also worked together on the Adult Swim series Mike Tyson Mysteries.
