Brad Pitt’s upcoming action thriller Bullet Train has been putting together a hell of an impressive cast. Now we’ve learned that Michael Shannon has joined in on the fun!
Shannon joins Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, and Andrew Koji. The film is being helmed by John Wick, Deadpool 2, and Hobbs & Shaw director David Leitch from a script written by Zak Olkewicz.
The film is based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle written by Kotaro Isaka. The story follows five assassins who “find themselves on a fast moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are not unrelated to each other. The question becomes who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station?”
There’s no word on who Shannon is playing, but he’s a great actor who has appeared in film such as Man of Steel, The Shape of Water, Take Shelter, Knives Out, Boardwalk Empire, and more.
Shannon can currently be seen in Echo Boomers and will next be seen in Michael Mailer’s romantic, coming-of-age drama Swing and Michael Maren’s Shriver, opposite Kate Hudson and Don Johnson. Shannon is currently filming the Hulu series, Nine Perfect Strangers, alongside Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy.
