EA’s Motive Studios dropped a new trailer for their highly anticipated game Star Wars: Squadrons. The trailer highlights the game’s single-player campaign and offers up some new details. The trailer came with the following description with the campaign details:

“Though shattered after the Battle of Endor, the Galactic Empire closes in on the Bormea Sector, determined to crush the recently-formed New Republic. The Republic’s classified Project Starhawk represents a tipping point in the Galactic Civil War, and ace pilots on each side will be instrumental in its outcome. Get a first look at an early Imperial mission in the single-player story of Star Wars Squadrons, where you must fly behind enemy lines to extract an allied spy with vital intelligence on the project.”

This is a game that I’ve been very much looking forward to playing. I love the Star Wars games where you get to pilot the ships from the films! Who doesn’t!? This new game looks awesome, and here are some additional details that have been shared:

Master the art of starfighter combat in the authentic piloting experience Star Wars: Squadrons. Buckle up, take full control of starfighters such as the X-wing and TIE fighter, and feel the adrenaline of strategic first-person 5v5 multiplayer dogfights alongside your squadron.

In a fateful campaign set near the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War, learn what it means to be a pilot in a thrilling STAR WARS™ single-player story. The New Republic fights for freedom. The Empire demands order.

Star Wars: Squadrons will be available on October 2, 2020 on PlayStation4, Xbox One, Origin PC, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Virtual Reality (VR) on PlayStation 4 and PC with cross-play support.
