Earlier this year, Hero Forge launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring a slew of new features to their custom miniature creator. One of those features was color printed miniatures. This allows users to color their mini in the web app and then it would actually be printed in color. This will help fans who are unable to paint or scared to paint their minis still feel like their mini has life. Well, Hero Forge was kind enough to send me two random full-colored miniatures that they painted. I’ve included an unboxing below for you to check out, but here are my thoughts.

I freaking love these. They look amazing! Yes, some people will be able to do a better job by painting them. However, if you don’t have the time or feel like you’re not as skilled as you’d like, this is a fantastic option. There is shading. There are highlights. Nothing about these miniatures feels cheap either. If you’re interested, I’d definitely keep an eye out for when Hero Forge 2.0 launches eventually.
