The Venture Bros. has been one of my favorite animated shows to watch in recent years, unfortunately the series has actually been canceled! The initial news came from Ken Plume, that author behind a recent art book titled Go Team Venture!: The Art and Making of The Venture Bros.
He recently responded to a viral tweet asking people to name their favorite TV shows that were unnecessarily canceled. He responded to that Tweet with Adult Swim’s The Venture Bros.

So uhhh… Venture Bros. might be done for after season 8, if what this guy (who’s friends with Doc and Jackson and wrote the VB art book) says is true https://t.co/g4Z4zCqLAf

Not long after that, co-creator Jackson Publick confirmed the news in a tweet saying:
“Unfortunately, it’s true: #VentureBros has been canceled. We got the highly disappointing news a few months ago, while we were writing what would have been season 8. We thank you, our amazing fans, for 17 years of your kind (and patient) attention. And, as always, We Love You.”

So, even though The Venture Bros. was already announced and in production, it looks like we are not going to see any new episodes of the series that was created by Publick and Doc Hammer and I’m seriously bummed out by the news. But, Adult Swim commented on the situation and they are looking to find a way to continue the story:
We also want more Venture Bros. and have been working with Jackson and Doc to find another way to continue the Venture Bros. story.

Maybe it will continue in comic book form? Maybe a podcast? I don’t know, it just sucks that the series has been canceled. I guess it was bound to eventually happen, though. What do you think about The Venture Bros. being canceled?
