Twitch Sings Closing Down In January 2021

Twitch Sings has announced that the service is shutting down on January 1, 2021. The digital karaoke experience streamlined the process, allowing users to click a few buttons and be online with hot tracks, unlockable gear for avatars, and a variety of stages, tuning options, and singing challenges.  Clips and videos wills start being removed in December, so you may want to download and save them if you want to save them for your digital singing scrapbook.

While a depressing revelation for aspiring karaoke kings and queens, Twitch did leave the window open for some potential projects in the future. On the announcement page, Twitch states:  Looking ahead, we’re excited to share more about the future of music on Twitch and how we’re working to make Twitch the best place to bring you closer to the artists and music you love.

You can read more, including detailed information on the shutdown, on the official site.
