Tyler Cameron offered words of advice to friend and future Bachelor lead Matt James. Tyler wooed the hearts of Bachelor Nation since appearing on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. Many were shocked when the Alabama native chose Jed Wyatt over the charming Florida model in the final decision. Things quickly fell apart for Hannah and Jed when longtime suspicions that the jingle singer-songwriter had broken up with his girlfriend the day before appearing on The Bachelorette. On After the Final Rose, Hannah was single and ready to mingle, setting her sights back on her runner-up Tyler. The two had a flirty exchange, which culminated in Alabama Hannah asking Tyler to get drinks after the show.
The Bachelorette alums sent fans into a whirlwind when Tyler was spotted leaving his ex’s home, leaving many to believe there was hope that the pair would rekindle their romance. But soon after Tyler was spotted in New York with supermodel Gigi Hadid, crushing any hope that Hannah would have her second chance. Although Gigi and Tyler were seen attending multiple events together and spotted out and about on dates, the couple called it quits in November after nearly two months. Tyler made headlines again with his “quarantine crew” in March, which consisted of ex Hannah Brown as well as friend and soon-to-be Bachelor Matt James. Matt was first known to Bachelor Nation as one of the contestants who would be vying for the heart of Clare Crawley on her dramatic upcoming season. But following a Twitter dispute between Matt and Clare, as well as a huge call to action for the Bachelor franchise to cast people of color, Matt became the franchise’s first Black Bachelor.
Tyler Cameron has been vocal in his support for his friend and roommate becoming the Bachelor, and now he is offering advice to the future starlet. In an interview with People, Tyler said, “The thing I tell him is, just be you because that’s what we all love.” The 27-year-old offered some advice about dating on national television to his friend, stating, “That’s why you’re in the position you are in is because of you. Just let that shine. Also, trust your gut. Believe in yourself, belief in your decisions, just let it roll. Don’t overthink things. My whole thing is like, shoot-from-the-hip. If it feels right, do it.“
Tyler knows a thing or two when it comes to letting his personality shine as he has become a fan favorite of the show. Although things didn’t work out on his season, he still has great memories looking back, “It was an incredible experience. You get to travel and see the world and spend it with some special people. For that, I’m forever grateful.” He went on to give fans insight into his own dating life during the pandemic, stating, “It’s hard right now with being stuck here in Jupiter, but maybe I’ll hop on a Zoom date or something. I would love to date somebody and get that going. We’ll see.”
Tyler has always seemed more down to earth than previous Bachelor contestants, and it looks like things haven’t changed as he supports his friend on his journey to find love. Matt James’ season is highly anticipated, and he has already charmed the hearts of Bachelor Nation. The 25th season of The Bachelor is set to premiere in 2021.
