We have some great news for all of you fans looking forward to the Saved By The Bell revival series that’s coming to Peacock next month. After the news broke of Kelly Kapowski actress Tiffani Thiessen returning to the series, the original cast got just a bit fuller with the confirmation and first look at Lark Voorhies returning to play Lisa Turtle in the show.
Voorhies played the character since the first version of the series, Good Morning Miss Bliss, aired in 1988, and continued through the run of the original Saved By The Bell, returning for the specials Hawaiian Style, and Wedding in Las Vegas. She also appeared in an episode of The College Years, as well as The New Class.
Peacock reports that “when the show picks up with Lisa, she is thriving with a successful career in fashion.” It is not yet known how many episodes she will appear in, or where in the series she will pop up, but it is so much fun to know that she will be featured in the show. I do wish that Dustin Diamond would return as Screech, and Dennis Haskins would appear as Mr. Belding, but I am happy to see Voorhies come back.
Saved By The Bell is set to air its brand new episodes on Peacock on November 25th. Check out the first look photo of Lisa Turtle, and let us know if you’re so excited.
